Between Paris and Moscow.
Alexandra Bychkova
and Sergey Coltsov
The exhibition is based on two retrospectives, two creative trajectories that constantly intersect and, at times, diverge. Visitors will be able to explore the work of each artist individually while also seeing the points where their artistic paths meet.

The exhibition features monumental textile panels, paintings, sculpture, graphic works, and design objects gathered from more than 20 metropolitan and regional museums. The creative legacy of the couple, scattered literally across the entire country, has been brought together in one space for the first time. The exhibition is complemented by private collections, including works from the artists’ family collection. Many photographs of their shared life have been preserved, as well as letters the couple exchanged during periods of separation. Running throughout the exhibition is the story of their love, which gives the exhibition an intimate and romantic dimension.

The narrative is constructed as an interweaving of two destinies — both human and artistic. This idea is reinforced through color: Koltsov is associated with black, while Bychkova is represented by colors such as lilac, green, and pink.
