Mikhail Bulgakov’s Dead Souls
At the exhibition, visitors are greeted by two charming ladies - advocates of the sides, who narrate stories about two writers from the screen: each about their favorite. Their dialogues in the following halls turn into commentary on the exhibits, creating a multidimensional perspective on the Gogolian theme - by Bulgakov, his contemporaries, researchers, and us.

They will guide the viewer through the 1920s and 1930s. Through the editorial office of "Gudok," where among the typewriters and half-empty tea cups lie memories, photographs, and "Notes on Cuffs." Along the theatrical stages with numerous sketches for the staging of "Dead Souls" and staging sketches. Through the cinema hall with unrealized versions of Bulgakov's scripts - into the mirrored room, where the lines of Gogol's and Bulgakov's fates converge.

The exhibition turns out to be a complex system of reflections, in which the reader sees Gogol through Bulgakov's eyes, Bulgakov sees the contemporary reality through Gogol's eyes, and the visitor discovers mirroring in the biographies of the writers and the spirit of today in familiar plots.
