Mikhail Bulgakov’s Bookshelf
The exhibition reveals who inspired the author of "The Master and Margarita" and "The White Guard" and how his "Bulgakovian" style ultimately developed. Bulgakov entered the profession during a time of change. He had to define his ideals and find his place among other writers. The first part of the exhibition tells this story. Three more rooms are dedicated to Gogol, Tolstoy, and Pushkin - his teachers and guiding lights. In the final part of the exhibition, the focus is on the image of Mikhail Afanasyevich himself, his characters, and his texts.
